St Saviours Church, Northumbria Street, Poplar E14 - Tower Hamlets
Former church dating from 1873-4 to the design of Frederick J and Horace Francis. The building was severely damaged by fire in May 2007 and is currently propped by scaffolding. Following detailed negotiations, Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent have been granted for residential conversion and all pre-commencement planning conditions have been discharged. The Diocese has now found a suitable development partner for the project and work began on site in February 2020.
