Barn at Manor Farm, Old Burghclere, Burghclere - Basingstoke and Deane

Manorial barn, 1451, built for the Bishop of Winchester. Suffering from water ingress and failure of joints, the building needs comprehensive repair. Emergency repairs have been carried out. Full cost of repairs is very high. The owners have decided to undertake the repairs on a phased basis over 8 years. Works commenced in May 2017 to repair the 3 eastern bays of the barn. These works have been successfully completed. The next phase of repair should commence in 2019/20.
