Tomb of Israel Thomas, Norwood Road, West Norwood Memorial Park SE27 - Lambeth

Pedestal monument above a vault in the Egyptian Revival style, circa 1842. The tomb is overgrown with vegetation and the plinth is broken and open to the elements. The Heritage Lottery Fund has awarded the Local Authority a grant under the Parks for People programme which includes funds towards restoring priority monuments. Emergency works have been carried out to this memorial to make it safe and its full repair is due to start in 2018 as a pilot for the wider project.
