Enderby House, 100, Christchurch Way, Greenwich SE10 - Greenwich

Early to mid-C19 wharf-side building of Samuel Enderby, largest whalers and sealers in Britain and pioneers of Atlantic exploration. An unusual octagonal room gives onto a projecting bay, allowing views of approaching vessels. A scheme has been agreed in principle, with a Section 106 agreement in place, but future use of the building has yet to be determined. Repair and reinstatement works are underway, in close liaison with the Local Authority and Historic England.
