Tomb of Captain John Wimble, Norwood Road, West Norwood Memorial Park SE27 - Lambeth

Chest tomb dating from 1851 with finely carved reliefs showing ships at sea. The stone ship surmounting the tomb is subject to movement. The National Lottery Heritage Fund has awarded the Local Authority a grant under the Parks for People programme which includes funds towards restoring priority monuments. Discussions are now underway regarding the necessary repair works which are anticipated to start in 2020.
