Church of St Peter and St Paul, Church Street, Caistor - West Lindsey

Parish church with fabric of C12, C13 & C14. It is built largely of ironstone but with some rebuilding in limestone ashlar. Norman work is visible in the tower. The nave roof was reconstructed during Butterfield's restoration 1856-63 and is in need of repair. The tower roof finish requires replacement. A decorative painted scheme on the nave ceiling has been damaged by roof gutter leaks. Part of the town's Roman wall can be seen along the southern graveyard perimeter. Repairs funded by a Heritage Lottery Fund Grant for Places of Worship scheme are due to complete in 2018.
