Local Lists of Buildings and Other Heritage Assets

Around half of all local planning authorities have produced lists of locally important buildings and sites.

Although not all of these have been adopted as part of local development plans, they provide a very useful record of local heritage assets over and above the designated heritage assets that appear on the National Heritage List for England.

These lists should be available on local authority websites in their planning section or found in the local historic environment record.
