Definition: Heritage Lottery Fund: HLF

A share of the money raised through the National Lottery for good causes for the benefit of communities across the UK. Distribution of the fund to heritage across the UK is administered by the National Heritage Memorial Fund (known as the HLF), set up under the National Heritage Act 1980.
