Definition: Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project: NSIP

A project of a type and scale defined under the Planning Act 2008 and by order of the Secretary of State relating to energy, transport, water, waste water and waste generally. These projects require a single development consent. Planning permission, listed building consent and scheduled monument consent and amongst other are not required for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.
