Grants available to help fund assessment, adaptation and operating costs for heritage organisations.
The Culture Recovery Fund is the Government’s £1.57 billion support package to protect the country's cultural, arts and heritage organisations. It encompasses a number of grant funds to help the heritage sector recover from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage offers grants to help heritage organisations or businesses cover operating costs, assess and adapt their business models, and become financially viable.
We are administering the grants in partnership with the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Historic England is offering £50 million in grants for capital works in 2020/21, as part of the Culture Recovery Fund support package. This Heritage Stimulus Fund is made up of the three separate funds below.
Two of the funds will be expanded through applications we have already received but we are now inviting new applications to the Grants for Programmes of Major Works fund. Those seeking revenue support can consider applying to the Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage above.
