Houses of Parliament

Celebrate 1,000 years of Parliamentary history and London's most famous clock.

The Houses of Parliament will join the London History Day celebrations on Wednesday 31 May 2017, the anniversary of when the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) began to keep time for London and the nation. Visitors to Parliament will have the opportunity to take part in a number of London-themed events on the theme '1,000 years of history'.

From 10 - 11am there'll be a free talk about the Elizabeth Tower inside the Jubilee Room. London History themed family tours will also take place at 1.30pm and 3pm, £18.50 for adults and free for children.

Please note that spaces for these events are limited so book your tickets online or by phoning the Bookings Team on 020 7219 4114 from 9am on Friday 28 April.

Parliament will also be sharing rarely seen London-themed objects which have helped shape 1,000 years of Parliamentary history on social media throughout London History Day.
