Loss and Destruction Season

Our Loss and Destruction season helps you explore the issue of lost heritage in 2019, with an exhibition, illuminated landmarks and events you can take part in.

The loss of heritage affects us all. Heritage, when threatened and saved, can bring people together and reinforce collective identity and community cohesion.

Throughout the year we’re going to look at buildings and places that are at risk because of neglect, lack of use or conflict. We’re asking people to look again at the buildings and places in their communities, and question what would happen if they were lost.
