In 1910, one of the most bloody events in this country’s policing history also produced a hero. Peter Clarke talks about PC Walter Choate who, despite being repeatedly shot, fought to arrest an armed assailant during the Houndsditch Murders.

To mark London History Day, join Rebecca Walker in the City of London Police Museum and explore the history behind one of the objects on display: a George Medal awarded to Sub-Inspector Arthur Ball for his conduct on the night in World War II when another Great Fire returned to consume the City of London.
