Francis Crick Institute

The Francis Crick Institute inherited a collection of scientific objects from our founding institutes, the MRC’s National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR), and Cancer Research UK’s London Research Institute. Find out how they were used and what discoveries they made possible with a scientist who worked at NIMR, in this special 'Meet a Scientist' session.

Meet a Scientist - London History Day special
Please check the Francis Crick website to confirm times. Event will be two hours long.

Our 'Meet a Scientist' sessions run every week at the Francis Crick Institute. Scientists pop down from their labs to the exhibition to chat to visitors about their research, share what life in the lab is like, and demonstrate modern and historical scientific equipment.

In this special 'Meet a Scientist' session, Jon Marsh, a retired scientist who worked at one of the Crick’s founding institutes, the MRC’s National Institute for Medical Research, will be present with a selection of objects from our heritage collection not usually on display. Visitors will be able to handle the objects and find out how much science has changed over the last 50 years.
