Since London History Day falls on the anniversary of Big Ben first marking time, visitors will have the chance to celebrate by attending a talk about Big Ben and the Elizabeth Tower and to meet the Big Ben Team. - New Dawn Talks:
12 noon and 2pm

Find out more about New Dawn, a contemporary light sculpture by artist Mary Branson. Revealed on 7 June 2016, 150 years to the day since the campaign for women’s votes began, this artwork honours all the individuals involved. - Suffragettes in Parliament Talks:
1pm and 3pm

This talk highlights the militant campaign conducted by members of the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU - motto "Deeds not words") and the Women's Freedom League (WFL), and how their actions impacted Parliament.
Both talks begin and end in Westminster Hall and include a short walk to St Stephen's Hall and Central Lobby, and some steps to view the 'New Dawn' artwork.
Following your talk come and chat to members of the Parliamentary Archives who will be available in Westminster Hall throughout the afternoon with a display of documents recording the history of votes for women from Chartists to Suffragettes.
