Jump into the past and spring into the future at the London Fire Brigade Pop-up Museum
10.00am - 3.00pm
FREE - Book online
London Fire Brigade pop-up museum is hosting a one day special event for visitors of all ages to come and explore our history. Whilst our new museum is redeveloped, our pop-up museum is situated in London Fire Brigade’s (LFB) former vehicle workshop, where fire engines were built and serviced since the 1930s. As well as our temporary exhibition about the history of LFB in Lambeth, this special event will chart LFB’s history from the Great Fire of London to the present day. Visitors of all ages will be able to watch storytelling performances that will transport them back to 1666, take part in arts and crafts activities all about the Great Fire of London and dress up in historic and current LFB uniforms.
Fire safety advisors and LFB’s education officers will be on hand to provide the latest fire safety advice, showing how hard London Fire Brigade works to stop the Great Fire of London from happening again.
The day will start at 10.00am and will finish at 3.00pm, with regular performances, activities and talks throughout the day. Last entry is at 2.30pm.
