Description

The church has a cruciform plan with a wide aisled nave, west tower and south porch, north and south transepts, and a chancel. The chancel and transepts are the earliest parts, with the tower and aisles added in the 14th to 15th centuries, and the south porch is Georgian. The monument has a recess with relief carvings of repeating floral patterns and bench, underneath a crocketed cinquefoil head. On either side are multiple piers supporting a large gable surrounded by leaf carvings, and crocketed pinnacles. The monument is likely to be the monument for Walter Fawkes, who died in 1847.
