Description

The choir screen is under the eastern crossing arch, and has niches with sculpted figures on the western side. The eastern side has a gothic wooden structure with a central doorway. The screen, pulpit and Archbishop's throne are all gothic and by Sir Robert Smirke after a fire in 1829. They are in keeping with the original 15th century fittings.
