A detailed view of the plasterwork ceiling in the front room of Micklegate House

The house is dated 1752, and was altered and extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. It was most likely built by John Carr for Sir John Bourchier of Beningbrough. The plaster panel shown is one of four corner designs.
