A detailed view of a pew-end in St Helen's Church

The church has a cruciform plan, with an aisled nave and chancel and crossing tower. There is some 12th century stonework, and the interior arcades and tower were added in the 14th century. The three western bays of the nave were added in the 19th century. The pew-end has a carved inscription at the top with a celtic design in the left corner, a carved crest and a relief arcade at the base.
