View of the Poultry Cross, an hexagonal arched shelter which dates to the 14th century. In the centre is a single stone shaft with a stone bench at the base which carries on up through the roof. Each arch has a pinnacled niche over the centre, and a pinnacles over the piers. Behind the cross are shop fronts which back onto Minster Street on the left, and BUtchers Row on the right.
