View of the west side of St Anne's Church, a 13th century church with additions and restorations made in the 15th century and 1852-3. The 13th century tower and spire are at the west end, and a weathervane tops the spire. To the right is a partial view of the south side, with a protruding gabled south porch, and the battlements and pinnacles along the nave, chancel and aisles can be seen. In the foreground is a body of water, most likely the River Derwent, and some of the graveyard to the west of the church.
