Description

The St Mary's Priory Church was originally the church of the Benedictine priory in Abergavenny, and became the parish church after the dissolution of the monasteries in 1536. This misericord, on the south side of the choir in St Mary's Priory Church, depicts the Tudor Rose and feathers of the Prince of Wales. It was dedicated to Prince Arthur, the eldest song of Henry VII.
