Description

The origin of the medallion is unclear; it is believed to date from the 17th century. It was bought at a sale at Lambourn Place, which formerly stood to the north of St Michael's Church, by Rev J H Light in 1893. The medallion was then set in a marble and alabaster frame and placed in the church.
