Description

Henry Fitzroy, the son of Henry VIII and Elizabeth Blount, died in 1536, and his wife, Lady Mary Howard, died in 1557. Their tomb chest is decorated with carvings of shields between fluted pilasters, above which is a frieze of carvings of scenes from Genesis divided by termini caryatids. Four angel figures holding shields are positioned standing on each corner of the tomb's top.
