Description

The alabaster plaque to Robert and Julia Gilbert dates from 1492. On the left of the Virgin Mary is Robert and the couple's sons, and on the right is Julia and the couple's daughters. The carved scene is surrounded by an inscription in Latin. Three heraldic shields are positioned towards the bottom of the plaque.
