Description

The four set of painted panels on the back of the choir stalls date from around 1485-1490. One of the panels depicts the twelve apostles, and the other three panels depict the lives of St Anthony of Egypt, St Augustine of Hippo, and St Cuthbert of Lindisfarne. Text describing the lives of the saints is written below each painted scene.
