Description

The early-16th century west tower of St Mary's Church is built in four stages. The lower stage contains the west doorway and west window, on either side of the which are medieval figures of the Virgin and Child on the left and the Risen Christ stepping from His sarcophagus on the right, both in crocketted niches. Above in the second stage is an opening with quatrefoil interlace tracery, with figures of St Peter and St Paul on either side in crocketted niches.
