Description

The wall paintings in St Denys' Church date from around 1300. The main painting above the chancel arch depicts the Last Judgement. St Michael is shown below this, on the right of this photograph, weighing souls. To the left, on the east wall of the north aisle, is a Doubting Thomas, thought to be earlier than the other paintings. The paintings were exposed during renovation work in 1893.
