The font in St Wulfram's Church dates from around 1496. The faces of the font are carved with scenes from the bible, though these are now badly weathered. It is thought they show the Annunciation, the Nativity, the Presentation in the Temple, the Baptism of Jesus, Christ blessing children, the Transfiguration, the Abraham sacrificing Isaac, and the Magi. The carving on the face shown in this photograph may represent the Annunciation, with the Archangel kneeling on the left. The undersides of the bowl are carved with designs including the Tudor rose and a Pelican in her Piety, while the shaft featured figures under canopies, and the base is carved with roses, quatrefoils, and masks.
