Description

Detail of a square stone font with the whole of one side of the bowl visible. The bowl has arcading around it, with four arches on the side. There is a large central shaft and four smaller ones at the corners. The base is also square and matches the size of the bowl, but looks like a modern addition or replacement. The note on the original sleeve states that this image was taken in Ovington, but there are five Ovington's in England, in Essex, County Durham, Hampshire, Norfolk and Northumberland.
