View of the 15th century market cross which sits at the junction of three streets in Cheddar, possibly with Union Street in the background. The cross is in the middle of a hexagonal shelter rebuilt in 1834 with six pointed arches and embattled parapet. The cross is on an octagonal pier with three steps and shaft which reaches the roof of the shelter. The cross head includes a crown and crucifix.
