A general view from the north-west looking across Rupert Street and down Christmas Street towards St John the Baptist's Church
- 24 Oct 1930
- Christmas Street, City Of Bristol
- Photograph (Negative)
The photographer’s notes state: ‘ Houses in Christmas Street, looking south to St John the Baptist's Church and gate.
The rest of the text in the notes is identical to that on the print recorded below:
A handwritten note on the reverse of the print reads: 'Four old houses. The nearest is the wide, hipped gable, house no 9, then going to the left are nos 8, 7 & 6, the two last (cream coloured) being just to the left of the high lamp standard... There was formerly a building or buildings in the centre of the now wide space...
The above four houses were demolished before July 1931'.
