The photographer’s notes state: ‘Melhuish's restaurant (No 6 Peter Street), west side Church Lane at the corner of Peter Street (north side). St Peter's Church at the back on south side of Peter Street.
Noted in red: ‘No 6 Peter Street was destroyed in the air raid of Nov. 24. 1940.'
