The photographer’s notes state: ‘Welsh Back. Two old houses in the centre of the picture. The nearest one (southerly) is no24 (Harbour Dining Rooms) and th eother is the Golden Bottle (no 23). They form a projecting block.'
Noted in red: ‘This old block was destroyed in an air raid before June 1941.'
