The photographer’s notes state: ‘Ditto. Closer view. The remains of the former Assembly Room on the left, then a gap where Nos. 22 and 20 had been, then Nos 18, 16, 14 all in course of being demolished. The Co-op Wholesale Society Ltds building beyond.'
