Description

The photographer’s notes state: ‘Broad Plain, south side. No. 4 (Settlement House) on left, no. 5 (Broad Plain Girls Club) with a hood, Nos. 6 & 7 with hoods, No. 8 and no. 9 with a sign. Looking westwards to Narrow Plain, which is the continuation of the road, and which starts with the house beyond the large modern building, having a cemicircular pediment.'

Noted in red: 'Nos 6 & 7 demolished and replaced by a modern building before Sept. 1939.'
