Description

The Gorsedh Kernow or Cornish Gorsedd was set up in 1928. Its aims are to "maintain the national Celtic spirit of Cornwall". The ceremony, held annually at a different location each time, is when new bards are admitted.

This image shows the opening of the ceremony, during which the Corn Gwlas, or Horn of the Nation, is sounded.
