The photographer's notes state: 'Looking northwards from near the pond up the south portion of the garden path (the "terrace path"), just within and parallel to the east wall of the garden. Small Spanish Chestnut overhanging the path in the distance'.
The Rookery was located on the east side of the High Street. It was destroyed in 1980 by a fire.
