The photographer's notes state: '1st floor passage looking south to the main staircase and passage beyond in the S. extension'.
The Rookery was situated on the east side of the High Street. It was gutted by a fire in 1980 and was demolished. At the time this photograph was taken the house appears to have been unoccupied.
