The photographer's notes state: 'Lamorbey House. Main bedroom over the dining room in the old E. wing. Looking north. Glimpse of the main staircase on left. Steps on right in the recess led to the N.E. bedroom in N. front'.
Lamorbey House was located on the south side of Halfway Street, close to the corner with Old Farm Road East. It was demolished between 1936 and 1937 but appears to have already been vacant by October 1935, when this photograph was taken.
