Description

The photographer's notes state: 'Glimpse of house from near the south end of the kitchen garden. The...horse chestnut on the right, with the beech on the left'. [Both the beech and the horse chestnut trees he mentions can also be seen in BB71/08836]

Twysdens was demolished in stages between 1940 and 1948. The area which the house occupied, on the south-east side of Cray Road, is now the site of a Coca-Cola factory.
