Description

The photographer's notes state: 'The Slip. Looking eastwards. End wall of the garden of Merlewood in foreground. That of Cliefden in centre & that of Eltham House in distance. The pediment of the garden house visible. All the gardens were of great depth'.

The Slip is now known as Orangery Lane.
