The photographer's notes state: 'General view from N.E. From the same road. The stable building is in the centre foreground. The farmbuildings on right are on the further side of the by-pass road. Floods in front'.
The farmhouse at Manor Farm was located on the east side of the Orpington Bypass (now Cray Avenue), just to the south of the railway line.
