The photographer's notes state: 'Spring Hall (No 208 High St). The house as seen from S.S.E. from the High Street. Long garden paling on the left. The gabled roof at the back belongs to the Crays Corn Mills. The Vicarage can be seen in the distance on rising ground on right. The Temple Congregational Church's precincts in the foreground on the right'.
