The photographer's notes state: 'South side of the house and the garage (mostly hidden by the cherry tree on the right) from the kitchen garden'.
Effingham Lodge was located on the west side of the High Street, opposite the Rookery and to the south of Spring Hall. It was demolished some time after the Second World War.
