Description

The photographer's notes state: "The Rookery" on left and Effingham Lodge on right from W. From a field along the east side of the Sevenoaks Way. This field belonged to Effingham Lodge. The great ash on right. The two lofty horse-chestnuts form the right of the high clumps in the left centre'.

Effingham Lodge was located on the west side of the High Street, opposite the Rookery and to the south of Spring Hall. It was demolished some time after the Second World War.
