The photograher's notes state: 'Fireplace and beam in the north bedroom (new negative from the damaged original)'.

There is an additional note for the site stating: '(This building was demolished in the early summer of 1929)'.

The Anchor and Hope public house was located on the corner of High Street and Aynscombe Angle.
