Description

This is a photograph of a photographic postcard. It is believed that the image was photographed by PEW Street c1929-1950.

The photographer's notes state: 'Copy. Aynscomb House. On extreme left of the picture. The view-point very nearly the same as in No 910 photo. The house was at the time used as a Postoffice. Church Hill Road comes in on the right (east). Just north of the (modern) White Hart opposite. (from a photographic postcard taken probably in 1929)'. [No 910 refers to BB71/09498]

Aynscomb House is now 102-104 High Street.
