Description

The photograph was taken for Robert W Hudson who built a house called 'Bidson Court'. It was designed by George E Grayson and Edward Ould. The fountain was in the grounds of the house. The Bedford Lemere daybook notes that the architect was Grayson and Auld (presumably a misspelling of Ould) The house was sold in 1921 to Sir Ernest Royden and in 1929 it was moved to its present site at Frankby, brick by brick, finally being completed in 1931. There it was renamed Hill Bark.
